We pray, "I offer myself in service. Allow my hands to be your hands; my eyes to be your eyes. Allow me to be a flute that your breath flows through." (To paraphrase Hafiz.) But are we ready to be Vessels of the Divine? Or are our prayers paying lip service to a wonderful ideal, while we metaphorically duck under the table and hope we're not found or called on??
That moment when you're gazing at the Divine and realise that It's patiently gazing back and waiting for you to heed Its call. Like, "Did I stutter??" And it clicks like a lightning bolt to the heart!! 'It' wasn't just a random thought. Nor was it a mere 'suggestion' ... It was a way of gauging whether or not you're ready to more fully engage the Divine? To be more accountable to the Divine? To surrender your will to the Divine?
Are you listening to that voiceless voice? Are you willing to serve as a Vessel, unquestioningly? Do you pause (for months) to 'consider' the call to action or service, rather than immediately acting in faith? Do you distract yourself with yet another self-made crisis so that you can "pretend" you can't hear the Divine calling you?? ("La la la. I can't hear you!! What?? Huh??? La la la! Sorry ... ") Do you assure yourself that it's not *that* important a decision, surely ... and mentally debate the merits of what you've been asked to do?? Thereby sabotaging your path and connection, yet again ...
Or are you finally ready to step up, and be held accountable by the Divine? By your own Higher Self? Are you now ready to build your integrity and strength, and become someone who is capable of direct communion? We pray, "I offer myself in service. Allow my hands to be your hands; my eyes to be your eyes. Allow me to be a flute that your breath flows through." (To paraphrase Hafiz.) But when we're taken up on our offer, how do we respond? Again, I hear the Divine's timeless, voiceless, loving voice saying, "Did I stutter??" ;-)

I've been sitting with a prayer that I learned during my Aura Soma training - "I will that Thy Will be done through me." This brings together the three primary colours: I will = Yellow; Thy Will = Blue; be done = Red. Am I courageous, disciplined, and strong enough (Red) to voluntarily align my will (Yellow) with the greater Will of Divine guidance and of Life itself (Blue)? Or are my prayers paying lip service to a wonderful ideal, while I metaphorically duck under the table and hope I'm not found or called on?? I am glad to say that I have (finally) heeded the call. (*Ahem*)
I have written 'Vessel' on my wrist, as a reminder of why I am engaging this new path. Each time my Will begins to waver, I intentionally reflect on the word 'Vessel' and remember that I am choosing to respond to a wiser and greater Will than my own; one with a far broader perspective than I have! I am following Soul guidance.
Day 1 ... tick! (Finally!)
I am listening, now. How about you? Warm blessings to all who are honouring a higher guidance within themselves and their lives, and to all who are summoning the strength to do so.
Peace
